Thanks to an initiative of the Natural resources management (NRM) board of South Australia and local councils along the Torrens river, ‘South Australia’s very own gardening guru Sophie Thomson is facilitating planting and BnB building days throughout winter. Along the River Torrens Linear Park, volunteers will help build native bee BnBs and plant species preferred by native bees. (AMLR, 2018)’

On 7th July, there is a tree planting and native bee habitat installation happening at the Butterfly Garden, Lochiel Park. Join SA Gardening Guru Sophie Thompson and Native Bee Expert Dr Katja Hogendoorn and learn all about native bees and help construct a Native Bee Hotel. You can book to attend this event by visiting The Native Bee BnB Project webpage, selecting a location convenient to you, then clicking on the EventBrite link. Admission is free.
